SV	Toen nam zich Jakob roeden van groen populierenhout, en van hazelaar, en van kastanje; en hij schilde daarin witte strepen, ontblotende het wit, hetwelk aan die roeden was.
WLC	וַיִּֽקַּֽח־לֹ֣ו יַעֲקֹ֗ב מַקַּ֥ל לִבְנֶ֛ה לַ֖ח וְל֣וּז וְעֶרְמֹ֑ון וַיְפַצֵּ֤ל בָּהֵן֙ פְּצָלֹ֣ות לְבָנֹ֔ות מַחְשֹׂף֙ הַלָּבָ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־הַמַּקְלֹֽות׃
Trans.	wayyiqq^aḥ-lwō y^a‘ăqōḇ maqqal liḇəneh l^aḥ wəlûz wə‘erəmwōn wayəfaṣṣēl bâēn pəṣālwōṯ ləḇānwōṯ m^aḥəśōf hallāḇān ’ăšer ‘al-hammaqəlwōṯ:

AC	לז ויקח לו יעקב מקל לבנה לח--ולוז וערמון ויפצל בהן פצלות לבנות--מחשף הלבן אשר על המקלות
ASV	And Jacob took him rods of fresh poplar, and of the almond and of the plane-tree. And peeled white streaks in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.
BE	Then Jacob took young branches of trees, cutting off the skin so that the white wood was seen in bands.
Darby	And Jacob took fresh rods of white poplar, almond-tree, and maple; and peeled off white stripes in them, uncovering the white which was on the rods.
ELB05	Und Jakob nahm sich frische Stäbe von Weißpappel, Mandelbaum und Platane und schälte weiße Streifen daran, indem er das Weiße entblößte, das an den Stäben war.
